Trash the dress at Mezcala island with Grecia & Juan Pablo

After a few days of planning, we were finally able to make a trip to the trash the dress session at Mezcala island, one of the coolest places near the lake Chapala in Jalisco, Mexico.

It really is one of the most amazing places you can get to know.

And it is quite an adventure to get there, because you have to get into a Little boat called “panga”, in wich at every moment you feel the possibility to get stuck or worse, sinking.

As I always say, attitude is everything, and Grecia & Juan Pablo definitely have it.

It was certainly a feat to reach the top in the groom suit and the wedding dress, but when we did, it was definitely worth it.
We found a very special place full of tropical vegetation and impressive structures that were an old prison back in the 17th century.

mezcala island history

There, spanish soldiers held mexicans who were doing illegal things or fighting against the spanish Crown. It is difficult to imagine how these people lived and died there under those conditions (cold, damp, illnesses, blows, etc.). It is a sad but true part of our history.

Going back to our days, Mezcala island became really incredible, it has everything a photographer could dream of. Green áreas, structures, textures, colors, and last but not least, an amazing couple.

We had a great time, and we really enjoyed this session, of course the results are below.
Please, feel free to write your opinion about them, I really hope you like them.

I want to thank our great wedding planner who was really there helping us every moment, thank you Grace from Makers by GraceCu, because she really made our work fun and easy to execute.

And of course, to Grecia & Juan Pablo, for their good humor and availability at all times.

Also, I invite you to my instagram page, where you can find more great wedding photos.
